Who Am I?
I am a contact lens residency-trained optometrist and have extensive experience fitting specialty lenses at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute (the nation’s #1 eye hospital), a specialty lens private practice, and at Nova Southeastern University (where I currently work as an assistant professor).
How Did My Lens Refresh Start?
A close colleague of mine was starting an optometry practice. They wanted to offer specialty lenses to their patients, but had not fit many lenses since graduating optometry school. I sat down with them for a few hours and essentially gave my love letter to contact lenses. This was when the idea for My Lens Refresh was born!
What’s My Goal?
My goal is to help both new and seasoned practitioners gain confidence in fitting specialty lenses. My favorite part of teaching is breaking down complex topics and making them simple and clinically relevant.
